Acupuncture you can afford...
SLC Qi Community Acupuncture clinic is dedicated to providing access to quality health care for all people in our community. Many financial barriers exist in today’s medical system, leaving some without proper resources to maintain health. Community style acupuncture makes health care affordable on your budget. It’s a simple idea, really. We use a sliding scale ($15-40 with a one time initial consultation fee of $15) for treatments. (We also waive the $15 initial consultation fee for veterans.) You won’t need to tell us how much you make- we’ll trust that you are paying what you can afford. The affordable price allows you to get acupuncture as often as you need to promote well-being. We keep costs down by seeing several patients at the same time in a peaceful setting, while you relax in comfortable reclining chairs. When people share the treatment space, the healing energy is multiplied and everyone benefits.
In Asia, it is common for an acupuncturist to see multiple patients in the same room. The concept of community acupuncture in the United States began in Portland, Oregon in 2002. The mission is to promote social change in health care. This idea has now grown to over 180 clinics nationwide and is successfully putting health care back in the hands of the people.
SLC Qi (pronounced " SLC Chee") is excited to be a part of this new movement. We are more than just an acupuncture clinic, we aim to provide a safe, healing, and community-oriented space that enables people to connect to others, share and swap items such as books and summer veggies, and explore a variety of healing methods. such as massage and yoga and qi gong classes. We believe approaching healing from more than just one angle classes maintain a community bookshelf for giving and taking what you like, a summer veggie basket, where patients swap and give away extra garden veggies, and can connect you to small community yoga classes where you can attend and pay whatever you can. Please explore our site for more information and we look forward to seeing you in our clinic soon!
