_Qi Gong Class
Qi Gong is the philosophy and practice of aligning breath, movement, and awareness for health of mind, body, and spirit. Based in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chinese martial arts, and Chinese philosophy, Qi Gong is energy cultivation which develops human potential and is considered to awaken one spiritually to one's true nature. A review of scientific literature suggests that there is strong evidence of beneficial health effects of Tai Chi and Qi Gong, including for bone health, cardiopulmonary fitness, balance, and quality of life. Both Tai Chi and Qi Gong (also known as Qigong) have origins in China and involve physical movement, mental focus, and deep breathing. Tai Chi is a form of Qi Gong. We are currently holding classes on Sundays at 11 am.
It is a one hour class it's a great way to blow off stress before you begin your week. The cost is $5-$10, whatever you can afford in that range. Participants should wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes that you can move well in. We do limit class size due to space restrictions, so please sign up under the event registration section of the booking tool online which you can get to here, or call us at 801.521.3337 to register. Or email us with registration request or questions. PLEASE NOTE, if you sign up for the class, we do require a 24 hour cancellation notice so that we can fill your slot with another interested party. Missed or late cancelled classes are charged at $5 per class.
